Guest guest
, Hope the vet has good news for you. I always worry myself sick when one of my cats is ill. Have you talked to your doctor this week yet about your new meds? If they're making you sick, maybe you should stop them until you can get in touch with him? Seems like most of the time the side effects are worse than the problem! I just found out since Christmas that the lithium I've been taking for the last nine years was actually causing my stomach pain. But none of my doctors ever looked at the drugs and wondered if something there might be causing the pain. I went through 13 months of tests and surgery, and it was my meds all along! I now have a tumor in my kidney also from the lithium. I missed a day of the lithium during the holidays, and realized that my stomach didn't hurt, so I went off of it completely and now my stomach's absolutely fine! It's still recovering and I have to watch what I eat and how much, but it doesn't wake me up in pain anymore. Now if I could just get my back side in as good a shape as my front! I go to the rheumatologist on Friday about my arthritis and fibro. Can't wait to see what they want me to take! I've seen ads for lyrica. Is anyone taking it for fibro and if so, is it working and what side effects have you noticed? I need something for the back pain, but I'm starting to be very anti-med after discovering what the lithium was doing to me. What a mess!
