Guest guest
, I did a search at AltaVista for you. If you can copy/paste this L-O-N-G URL into your browser window, you'll find several products and ideas for safely ridding yourself of the ants ... If you see that many regular black ants or those teeny ones we used to call pissants, they've probably built a nest near or under your patio. Best thing to do is disturb the nest repeatedly, which will encourage them to rebuild elsewhere. Borax might work on them. Sprinkle some inside a paper towel tube and lay it on its side near the nest. As a last resort, pyrethrum-based insecticides are the least persistent pesticides. They break down quickly in sunlight to non-toxic compounds. But pyrethrum (and the synthetic pyrethrines) are deadly to bees when the ingredient is active, so don't spray until dusk.
