Guest guest
A patient of mine sent me the following poem to tell me how he's doing. Not sure this is really the appropriate place to post it, but I want to share it and I'm not sure where else to do it. I am editing one word on the second line so as not to offend. Health Check My health has really been Pretty f---ing good for the past few months I haven’t needed herpes To remind me what sex without juice costs me Now that I’m finally alone. I haven’t needed bronchitis To remind me how breath alone Makes life worth living. Now that I’m watching my breath I haven’t needed a twisted ankle To remind me how much I miss dance Now that I’m dancing Only anorexia is on the job To remind me how sweet juices can be Tomorrow I’ll ask my back If it hasn’t been hurting Because I don’t need reminding What a heavy shifting load A relationship can be.-ph Shultz
