Guest guest
Apologies if this message shows up more than once. I sent it twice but haven't seen it show up on the listserv so I am sending it again. Hope it works this time. a, I have never heard of AmeriPlan, but what I found on the Internet troubles me. If you just Google " AmeriPlan " , everything seems OK. But when I used " AmeriPlan scam " as the keywords, I found some worrisome sites, including this one: http://www.medsave.com/health-insurance-resources/What-is-wrong-with-Ameriplan.h\ tm Doesn't seem like a plan that I would want to do business with. Another one to watch out for is MEGA Life & Health Insurance and their associated Midwest National Life Insurance: http://www.businessweek.com/magazine/content/04_37/b3899076_mz021.htm http://activerain.com/blogsview/608832/mega-life-health-midwest-national-life-fi\ nally-get-what-they-deserve- It sounds odd that there is a signed agreement between your doctors and AmeriPlan that your doctors can't recall signing. You would think that you'd have a record of that somewhere. Seto South Pasadena, CA > > Do any of you see AmeriPlan Health patients? The doctors here didn't realize there was an agreement signed back in 2008 until AmeriPlan faxed us a copy. The fee schedule is a big reason why we would cancel, and the work prior to visit, but in the past few years have only had a handful of people call and ask if we accept this plan (not even insurance, just a discount plan). Thought before we cancel, would ask the group if any have had experience, good/bad or otherwise. Any information would help. > > a Hardy > Ballard Neighborhood Doctors >
