Never drink water or brush teeth w/tap water - use bottled for evthing. 2. Fruit safe that can be peeled only. Sweet lemons are delicious! 3. Eat the local yogurt! rather than acidophilus pills. It takes the bacteria to know the others! Walter n I never got sick - evbody else did. Also garlic oil capsules 4 a day, n the ayurvedic doctor we met, grinned n said we only forgot to eat almonds..... 4. Good hotels may have seamstresses who will sew up lovely silk shifts n dresses overnight for very little.Fabrics to die for! 5. Use pantyliners to save laundry time. 6. Plan to mail yr UK clothes home by mail n pack yr new purchases in suitcase to avoid customs! 7. Observe the beauty of the people, esp. the poor......get used to cows in traffic n monkeys in temples! 8. In Delhi visit Banarsidass bookstore - it is WONDERFUL!! Let me know cos there is a bk I need to replace! 9. Will u be going to Varanasi or Dharamsala? If so, further suggestions........ It is such a different world n so beautiful.
