Guest guest
Anne Marie & anyone else interested. I started having acupuncture almost a year ago. I had been having a migraine-like headache which had been almost continuous for over 2 months. I was seeing a neurologist who specializes in migraines & he was just shoving drugs at me that did not stop the migraines. (I wish i knew then what i know now...but as bad as my memory is getting i probably would have forgotten. LOL). Anyway to make a long story even longer, my boss suggested i try an acupuncturist she knows. After the first treatment, the migraine almost went away and stayed very low key until the day before my next appt. After the second treatment, the migraine went away, period. I continued to get treatments until 2 months ago when I stopped because my dr. did not want me to be using meds or anything else before I had the tilt table test. I just haven't started up again because I've been busy & she is far from me. I believe that the treatments did help with my general physical discomfort, particularly the headaches & body/joint aches. I would recommend that you or anyone try acupuncture. It ain't no cure but it might help relieve some of the pain & tension. Just be careful that you go to someone who is properly trained & licensed. Different states have different rules about it. Here in Calif., they're pretty strict about who can claim to be an acupuncturist. Best of luck CJ in CA *: ^ > (dx of POTS, working on getting an mri to look for acm) Anne Marie Holcomb wrote: > well thank you everyone that has responded with suggestions and also > compassion. i was wondering if anyone could tell me where Dr. Milhorat > was located and if he is a specialist ort something. i really liked and > trusted my doctor but i know it was a kinda new thing for him. i am in > the process of getting all my files related to my condition sent to me. i > think that it will help for me to really look over it all and compare. > also i think it will make it easier to come up with good Q's to ask. i > know that a lot of people have been saying stuff about PT and i would > like to say that i am going now and really like it. i think that massage > therapy helped a lot too. soon i will be trying acupuncture. if anyone > has any impute on that it would be nice, otherwise i will let you know > about my experiences with it. so all for now. > Anne Marie > Go placidly amid the noise & haste and remember what peace > there may be in silence > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > WACMA Site: http://www.pressenter.com/~wacma > Your Personal support group member page: http://www.eGroups.com/group/chiari/ > **Avoid List Congestion: > Unsubscribe from this list: mailto:chiari-unsubscribeegroups > Contact list mgmt: mailto:chiari-owneregroups
