Guest guest
Hmm. While I'm glad IMP has a fan at Health Affairs, his conclusion at the end of the link blog post is that capitation (ACOs) will encourage and further develop patient centered care for Medicare. Only within the screwed up economics of Medicare and insurance could capitation be thought of as a step toward patient centered care. ---------- Forwarded message ---------- Date: Wed, Jan 25, 2012 at 8:35 PM>Hey check out the post on the Health Affairs blog. You’ll notice that I discuss and the post links to Gordon’s study of Ideal Medical Practices that I like so much. Talked to the editor and am working on another post that more specifically discusses the IMP model and why I think that is an effective way forward. I may need a little more data from you as I work on it. Please pass on to Gordon and the rest of the group. Hope you’re well. Take care.
