Hmm.  While I'm glad IMP has a fan at Health Affairs, his conclusion at the end of the link blog post is that capitation (ACOs) will encourage and further develop patient centered care for Medicare.

Only within the screwed up economics of Medicare and insurance could capitation be thought of as a step toward patient centered care.
