howdy y'all, take a look at carecloud. It's a new cloud based ehr that is very affordable. They have a minimum cost of $500/month, but includes pt portal w schedule and reminders, ehr, billing software and clearing house all integrated!  I'm waiting until they get the pt portal up 7/12 and fax/document manager 8/12.

When I compare monthly costs with my current system of updox, Aq, Ac, Ezclaim, oa, it is approx $1200 vs $1000 (current).

That said, upox is coming out w a scheduler and intake form through their pt portal (carecloud will have this as well) that should push to AC and it appears that all of my data from AC will need to be put in manually since the CCR/CCD gets imported as pdf documents into carecloud.

However, for the amount of IT triage that I need to do in managing our server, making sure my patchwork integrated system is running properly, it may be worth it to make the change in 6-12 months when carecloud is more established. I would highly recommend a demo.

Goto carecloud.com to read and search for them on YouTube for their videos (so you don't have to give them your email address on their website).

Thoughts anyone?

With gratitude,
