Guest guest
In our case we didn't get a second opinion. At 4 months my daughters left leg and foot were cold and the foot was purple most of the time. The foot dropped straight down as well. We had the MRI on Wednesday (they suspected a spinal tumor), by the next Thursday when we met with the NS my daughters right leg was showing the exact signs as the left. It was imparitive we get her into surgery as soon as possible and to spend another 4-6 weeks between getting referrals from insurance and then getting an appointment with another NS, would of been a grave mistake. If your daughter is not showing any signs at this point, then you may have some time to get a 2nd opinion. But in our case absolutely not. Even with the my daughters surgery, my daughter may have already suffered irreverseable damage to her leg/foot as well as her bladder. We don't even know about her bowel yet. Guest guest
A perfect example of a case where you DON'T WAIT!!! I can't imagine how terrifying this was, Anne.
