Guest guest
a: This has been discussed a lot lately so I hope you are able to retrieve old posts. I have no visible warts either and my biopsy came back twice that I had HPV. I reacted quickly because I was in a relationship at the time and in pain. Well, little did I know (I wasn't on this wonderful list back then) that the treatment would leave me in horrible, horrible pain. It made the VV worse and to this day I'm suffering from it. I plan on using the Estrace very soon to clear up what the treatment did to me. Most postings have said HPV doesn't hurt. If you have visible warts people get them off for cosmetic reasons. If there is no visible wart, it could be the lab sensing it's a skin irritation, which we all have, so they glob it into the diagnose of HPV. The only reason or concern if you really have HPV is to get a pap twice a year to make sure it's not cancer. I do this. Otherwise, if I were you? I would do NOTHING. All the info that I've read, HPV waxes and wanes. So if you get the acid burn or freezed or whatever they want to do to torture you even more.... it comes back. I'm beginning to think this darn HPV is part of what shows up for us with VV. Also my Immuno Doc (I have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) told me that when the immune system is weak we can test positive for the virus. This doesn't mean we have it. I'm so glad you posted before doing anything. I wish I would have. I bet Robin will write a much better post than I have about all this. She went through hell getting treated for HPV and so did Dee who is on vacation. Take care! Lainey
