Thanks to all for all the input. For anyone who is using and happy with Athena, any advice on cost? Are all services such as the patient portal and communicator tools bundled?Frederick Elliott MDBuffalo, NY

We have been doing electronic remittances for 2-3 years. Love it! We use e-MDs.

Wow! Athenahealth looks very cool. Looks like they even manage your documents for you. how much does it cost? I am using OA for free. i'll have to check out a demo. thanks Ellen.

Lynn, my other costs are below. main difference is i'm including the cost of a p/t biller, Quickbooks online w payroll (which i love!) and AC backup.

I believe you can choose to not have those features. They charge percentage of

collections for each thing: EMR, Billing, Portal, Communicator.
