Moth and candle work here to. JOSEFA: Exactly. and I often disagree (although not usually about Obama, and I believe that we both volunteered on his campaign). I was particularly struck with ’s words above. Obama is a charismatic character and as such would probably be a convenient hook for projections wherever his path had led him, but as President of the US – well, I guess the Onion said it best “Once again the black guy gets the worst job”!!!!!!!!!! But seriously, folks. I am aware of my own personal projections onto Obama, and am sure that every single person with whom I worked on the campaign has their own. BUT – there was also a real sense of something bigger. The whole world is in crisis, economically, politically and environmentally, and out of such a collective crisis, leaders emerge (as Jung was aware). The emergence of Adolf Hitler was a disaster, but that crisis also produced Churchill and FDR. The aftermath of the war also gave us the only (IMO) female politician who was not animus-possessed, Golda Meir. Obama has a tough task and everything to prove. It is good that many intelligent people are skeptical, if it results in them not expecting too much of one human being and actually giving the guy a fair go. For those who believe in the power of prayer or energy, please send it in the direction of Obama. In passing, I would like to say that, although this is a Jung list and not a political one, I am disappointed at the lack of concern shown on this list for the recent attacks in Mumbai. But then – oh, what the hell, it didn’t happen in the US, did it? fa " Show me a sane man and I will cure him for you. " CG Jung
