Hi,

Is it possible to still have a neurogenic " flaccid " bladder and still

get sensation when bladder is full? I was dx'd with " flaccid "

neurogenic bladder, but was told by another doctor that I should not

have any sensation of becoming full. All I know is that during the

urodynamics test, they said my flow was extremely slow 8 ml a second.

Supposed to be around 15 ml a second or something like that. Basically

it trickles most of the time. Sometimes it is slightly increased in

speed. Of course I also get the start-stop-start-stop all the time,

and I also think I'm empty when I'm not. Further, is it normal to go

to the bathroom several times right before going to sleep, fall asleep,

and wake up to over-flow incontinence in the middle of the night? The

reason I ask this is, I heard that some doctors think you can still

have sensation, but have a " flaccid " neurogenic bladder, yet others say

that you must not have any sensation of bladder filling. I'm confused

and feel like my bladder is neurogenic. My bladder issues started

about 3 years ago with a frequent sense of urgency which turned into

occasional sense of urgency combined with slow down of flow, and now a

flaccid bladder. Further, my bowels have always been a problem as far

back as I can remember in that I can't go for up to 10 days (seriously)

and when I do go that long without a bm, I get very sick, turn white as

a ghost, and sweat profusely. At other times, I will have diarrhea for

several days, normal stool, back to diarrhea, or constipation.

Take care,

NC
