Guest guest
Rosemarie, Yes, please go see a neurosurgeon who is experienced with Chiari. Your neurologist said that there are lots of people with cerebellar tonsils extending down to the level of the foramen magnum--this may be so, but are all of these people without symptoms??? Some may be, but you are not, which definitely warrants immediate attention. I don't know which state you live in, but you may want to check out WACMA's preferred doctor list to find the name of a neurosurgeon that a group member recommended. Good luck, Sheila rojeff@... wrote: Is myACM type 1, with cerebellar tonsils extending to the level of the foramen magnum normal?? Can this worsen, and can the tonsils seep further down into the foramen magnum with time, injury, etc.?? ShouldI go to a neurosurgeon???? Please know that I appreciate any/all of your responses. Bless you all again.
