Guest guest
Hi Everyone- To the new person with the white coating on her tongue and blisters...you have systemic yeast I bet. If you have not heard of this before there are a couple of books out there called the Yeast Connection and Women by Crook and The Yeast Syndrome(older book) don't know the author. I white coating on the tongue is a very definitive sign similar to thrush in babies. You should look into it. It is cheaper than Dr. s oxalate so you can try that first and see how it goes. Also, its not in your head so never let anyone tell you that. , someone did write about the yeast thing but I don't remember when or who. I get my posts in digest form so cannot really help there. Also, I am glad your treatment is starting to work. Still no one has responded about Dr. and his success rate. Does that mean the only Robyn has been successfully treated so far by him? I am a patient of his and I fully support him. He is a fantastic caring and sensitive doctor but still am curious how many he has treated successfully. I have been on a regime now since Dec. and I know I am not better down there. I do not even have to have sex to know that. I cannot put in a cotton tampon without an applicator so that tells me all of it right there. I pretty much think my problem is caused by one of two things. Yeast or nerve damage. I think the latter is more likely though when I did the yeast test I got over 180 which means I have a yeast problem. The thing is that test is very subjective and I really do not have many " symptoms " of it. I have cut out almost completely bread and sugar though I do slip every once in a while and can feel my body react to it. I am a veg head so cutting out the bread has been a bit difficult. I only eat organic whole wheat pasta and usually steam my veg. I have started taking acidophilus because I think I have a touch of IBS though I have never been officially diagnosed with it. The pain in my colon gives me a good indication and the coloscopy I had showed nothing wrong. So, anyway, I think I might try acupuncture. Has anyone tried this and been successful even for a short while? Well, hope all of you are enjoying your holiday weekend....I am in the UK and don't get one!!! You mentioned the oxalate/'s theory. It might be a good idea to either get tested or try to cut out the high oxalate foods you are eating. Organic whole wheat is a HIGH oxalate food, and many vegetable are either high or medium. I find if I eat whole wheat I am in a lot of pain. Here's the diet and treatment. The Low Oxalate Diet Welcome to The Vulvar Pain Foundation's Website Low Oxalate Treatment There really are many women that have been helped by the oxalate theory. It does seem expensive to be tested properly by Dr. 's however it's a one time charge and he will follow your progress indefinitely. Hi, , I am a patient of Dr. ' and have had very little improvement since I started going to him in November '98. I also think he is great, though, and that he is trying as hard as anyone could to find out what is wrong with me. It's my understanding that it just will take some time. I've had two biopsies, many wet preps, and know many things that my problem isn't, but not what it is yet. In the meantime, going crazy with itching. Dr. has given me many things that help with the symptoms, as long as I stay sedentary. If I start to walk around, I'm suffering again. He hopes to find an answer soon. I've had nine visits so far. I don't know what his overall success rate is, but I know that he looks at vulvas all day, and many women are cured in just one visit. It all depends on what you have and how common it is.
