Guest guest
Hello to all, I read the information everyday. I have learned so much from this site. Mom cannot remember where she is moving, what we are taking or anything, for that matter, for longer than 3-4 minutes. I feel positive about the facility we have selected. I have been up since 4:45am, in order, to get her and myself ready. The mowers come @ 8am and my SIL is going to take Mom early, so she will not have to watch everything being removed from her house. She fell and skinned her shin. She's drying her hair, wish I could throw the hair rollers away but she's olde' school. I have learned that I DO not like my sister. She doesn't have an ounce of compassion and will grow old VERY alone. Just needed to 'vent' and know the caregivers on this site understand just what an ordeal this has been and will continue to be. I have one more week before I go back to VA. I intend to tell my Mother I love her everyday. She has been wonderful. I feel honored if someone tells me I am like my Mother. I know that God is walking with us. Thanks for listening, Rob
Guest guest
Rob, I kept hearing you say you had a family and had to go home. I am curious who will be taking care of your Mom when you leave? Is your sister close enough to visit her? Or do you have a caregiver who will let you know how things are going with her? I just couldn't figure out how this was all going to happen. You are going to VA and where is your Mom's placement going to be? Hugs, Donna R Caregave for Mom (after I brought her from WI to MI) for 3 years and 4th year in a nh. She was almost 89 when she died in '02. No dx other than mine. Today's the day....... Hello to all, I read the information everyday. I have learned so much from this site.
