I have a variety of things I want to comment upon:

There was a post today directed to somebody named Suzanne concerning chiropractors. I don't know if it is related to me posting about osteopaths or not. In that post I mentioned chiropractors, but I don't know if their manipulations are the same as the ones the osteopaths do. At any rate, I will never go to a chiropractor again, because I had a weird experience with one in 1994. He did a neck adjustment and my entire right side went numb and I immediately had the urge for a bowel movement. For several days I walked with a limp.

I am one of the skinny ones here, too. (About 104 at 5'4. And, I like it that way, thank you.) I don't know either if there's any bearing on the chiari, but this spring I noticed that I was having problems with Claritin-D keeping me awake. I had some sleeping problems last year, but they became increasingly worse. At the same time, I noticed I was losing weight. I did, feel pretty good Chiari-wise while I was at 100. People were starting to comment and it really irked me because I felt well otherwise and I used to be that thin. I was eating, but not snacking. Finally, I figured out that Claritin-D has one of the same ingredients as Sudafed. Now, I'm using Zyrtec and it's making me sleepy and hungry. I think that the meds issue is something we need to consider when we talk about symptoms. For a long time, I thought I wasn't sleeping well due to the Chiari, when it was the Claritin-D. I am extremely sensitive to many drugs, particularly when it comes to sleep.

Also, concerning the Cine MRI, it may not hurt to get your other opinions from the known Chiari doctors. I had a Cine done at a place that did not know how to read it. They told me I was fine, but when Darlene saw the results, she told me that I definitely had a problem. When I had another one done several months later, there was no flow to the back and he wasn't certain about the front.
