Guest guest
My Husband had prostate cancer surgery in July 2003. After the surgery his PSA number was 0.05. Two years later the number was 0.1. At that time he read somewhere that if the PSA number doubles within 1 year the life expectancy would be about 10 years because the doubling of the PSA number indicates that there is still prostate cancer somewhere. He had another PSA test yesterday and was told over the phone that his PSA number was now 0.2. He has an appointment with his surgeon but unfortunately it is not for another 2 weeks. Needless to say we are looking for any information on what these numbers mean and if anyone else has been through this situation. Thank you.
