Guest guest
Hi Everyone, My husband has just had a transjugular renal biopsy and we were told that he has IGA Nephropathy. The specialist says that they will help him with pain control but that is all. In March he had 24 hr urine done and his protein was 3136 his urcreatnine was 2.8 and creatinine ser was 1.6. We dont really know what these numbers mean but where told that his kidneys are working at 85%. We were also told after a MRA that his left kidney is the size of a walnut and not functioning. He has been off work since March, he is a truck driver. The bouncing seems to make the flank pain much worse. He also is so tired all the time that he gets up and within a couple hours is resting again. His pain is on the left side usually and radiates to the right. They have had him on Vicodin for the pain but that does not even help at times. Last night he tried running to the store with me and after the 15 minute car ride was in pain again. They are telling us that he will be able to go back to work but I guess I am trying to figure how he will drive in truck 8 hours plus at a time with the bouncing and be able to deal with it with the pain and fatigue. Anything anyone can tell us would help. I also need to say that we will be looking for a new nephrologist as the one he has is gone every other week or so. Thanks for listening and any info you can provide. Connie
