Is there any clear rule for classifying alchemy as different from fairy tales or myths? Did Jung himself comment on this?

the similarity is that the 'processes' are identical in diff levels - the key lies in discovering the symbolic process:

ex - inflation

balloon

economy

pride

falstaff

etc.
