Guest guest
Bruce, B: " :-) That dream has been on my mind quite a bit lately. Ten years have passed since I had that dream. There seem to be two aspects, a coming together and a radiating out. The radiating out aspect has come into focus for me. " Yes, back to Jung, there's the polarity creating balance. Also I see how the circles can create a cross and vice versa. Once I *saw* that, I saw that everything ultimately *is* a circle, in essence. What kind of work do you do with your dreams. Do you find that doing something as creative - as in the website illustration - helps to integrate the dream? I guess I know the answer - but am curious to know how powerful different process of integrating and magnifying dreamwork can be. B: " I believe the re-orientation aspect of mandalas/quaternities is quite important, and the image in your dream of " blessing the directions " suggests that to me. " > In this particular dream, the chair, (last name is " Waterman " > in real life) B: " Do you attach any significance to that name itself? " The " re-orientation " you speak of is how I associate this man. He became not only a positive father figure to me over the last decade, but I learned much from him about service. He taught me a lot about how to take the little steps to get to your goals - even about making goals in the first place!! His last name, Waterman - came obvious to me only later. Water Man. He had a gentle, quite, yet perseverant nature, and that is why I saw he was able to make such big strides all over the world to actually move and shake minds and countries. B: " Only " ? :-) Amazing dream. Do you attach any particular meanings to each of the four directions? " Well, , I say only because I realized in my dreams he was a representation of positive animus, not the man himself. The four directions, I do think they are meaningful, but more in a Native American sense. Interesting that I combine traditional church (raised Catholic) with the inherent spiritual meaning I have with these directions. I have a sense of what each of these directions can mean - but I don't set these meanings in stone. I do wonder why I was given " east " and " south. " East representing to me " beginnings " perhaps. South representing doing the shadow work. Those are just initial associations. B: " I'm glad you found a way to re-engage those dreams. Hope you find other things you enjoy or find helpful on the site. " I often wonder about re-engaging dreams one has had years and years ago. Can this be useful? I already got the answer to that question - but still have a nagging thought that they are *less* useful than one more recent. I guess this is an issue for me right now because it has been quite a while since I have had the powerful dreams that I used to have quite often. After the hurricane, my life, out of necessity, demanded so much of my physical presence, that the inner work seems to have taken a back seat. I am missing this now. And I find that I'm like a beginner again and even have trouble remembering my dreams. Really appreciate your feedback...
