Guest guest
*Hi Chelle,* *I am also in my pjs today. I don't know what is up with me but I am very tired alot and napping duringthe day. I know it might be from all the meds, the weather and of course pain and stress but I hate it. I hopped in shower this morning and just put on some comfy 'jammies' as I called them LOL...I was supposed to go pick up my cymbalta and some groceries at walmart but Dennis ended up going today which is great. His mom put some cash in our acct so that he could get more clothes for work so he just did it all at once plus picked me up some breakfast and a beautiful hand blown glass dolphin statue at another store he stopped at to get me something for my bday. He can be a sweetie and is enjoying his new job. * *I looked on va dmv website and it sounded like all I had to do was show my license, proof of residency, social security card (ill probably bring my letter from ssd since its from the gov and show my lease for house or a bill) but sounded like I didnt have to take a test which would be awesome lol. ill call this week and see if i can speak to someone to make sure. As soon as i get my check after i write out my bill/repayment checks ill do my license first thing....oh and another thing they said is down here you have toget insurance before u can get license even if you dont have a car....so ill do that.* *As for the pt cruisers...i spoke to my step dad about them as he got a job at carmax and has gotten out of the computer tech business for now. He said the reviews are pretty good, its not a super powerful car but would be good for me to drive. If i get one at his carmax he said id get a warrenty and for a lil bit more i can get an extended one. If i get it at the dealership where i found one i loved (color is called cool vanilla which is so cool looking- its like a off white/creme but just a unique car).....ill get the warrenty through the dealership so if anything goes wrong i can bring it back to them to work on ect.* ** *I did drive one a few yrs ago..My dad and i rented one for our trip up to CT..it was purple too lol which would be great if i could find one as thats my fave color. But we drove it from southern nc where he lives all the way to ct. It was pretty comfortable as to how it sits...almost like your in a kitchen chair and thats when i fell inlove with it cause of my knee....it was easy for my to drive and i was more comfortable in it then a regular car. Plus it has space so i could put my scooter in it or load up the dogs if we go to vets ect. It was a 4 cyl and i was shocked cause it did have torque and rode very good. I did have a lil difficulty when we traveled thru the w.va mtns cause we took back way cause we hate 95...but once you put foot down on gas it took off. So itd be good for me as its way cheap on gas, rides nice and has the space i would like. The one i found was a lil pricey- 11,900 but he said money talks so u can haggle. Ill see once i have my money what other ones they have that may be a lil cheaper, see what deal i can get and see what they have at carmax....only thing about carmax is you cant haggle- whatevers on sticker is price u buy it for but i think thats cause they sell for less then blue book. so I think ill end up gettin one- just need my money lol.* ** *Pains been pretty high , dennis started his new job which he likes but i miss him being away from me, he worries about me alot when hes not here but im fine and i have my doggies too whichhelps lol. He can come home for lunch and he likes that he can come eat and spend some time with me.* *I just hate being so tired....it did cool down a bit here- no ice or anything like that but just that bitter cold. The space heaters have been doing pretty good keeping us warm thankfully and were not sure if we want to dish out the 1k almost to get propane tank filled. We may see if we can get someone out here to check and see what shape our chimneys are in. He met the guys brother who owns this place and he said they always used the fireplace in livingrm/ and bedrm an they had a wood burning heater/stove in kitchen as theres already a vent thing in there...so we may look into tryin to find one. and see about fireplaces so our heating isnt so costly.* ** *ok hun sorry for book lol...hope u are doing ok and ill keep u posted on the money situation- hope it comes soon cause i want my pt lol....if i get the creme looking one im wanting to get a personalized license plate...my mom came up with the idea of creampuff or something that looks like that dependin on letters allowed...i think thatd be cute lol* ** *ok talk to u soon hun take care and hope ur pain isnt too bad* *\ * chelle/ ltd Posted by: " Chelle " CRN724@... crn111591 Fri Feb 22, 2008 6:49 am (PST) , Glad you got things straightened out with LTD and I hope and pray your SSD back pay gets deposited today! I saw you were looking at a PT Cruiser. They are really cute, but I remembered that my husband drove one as a rental while his car was in the shop awhile back, so I asked him what he thought of it. He said it was REALLY cheap inside and he hated it! LOL Did you sit in the one you saw or just drive by? I know they look great from the outside - I loved them when they came out. said to tell you to go to consumerreports.com and check out the repair records to make sure you're not going to be buying a lemon. I wouldn't want you to get stuck with a lot of repair bills. You need something reliable. As for Virginia licenses, I can tell you my experience with that, since I've lived here for 30 years! And my most recent experience, which is with my 16 year old son. (No, I'm not 30, I've just lived here that long! LOL) When my son went in to get his learner's permit over the last several months, I noticed that the tests are MUCH harder than they were when I got my license when I was 16. It took Ben three times to get his learner's permit, and he really had to study about the road signs, so heads up there. If you have to take the written test, make sure you get a copy of the manual from them first and study it! It's a killer! Virginia has gotten so strict lately - I'm hearing that a LOT of teenagers are failing on their first and second times. And, watch out for the police - they are REALLY on top of motorists here. I've gotten two speeding tickets just since moving to Winchester, and I hadn't had a speeding ticket in 20 years! Different areas are different, but I take care now to always obey the speed limit and always come to a complete stop at stop signs. I had gotten so lazy over the years. I'm just hanging out here in my pj's this morning. I have a really bad eye irritation from some makeup I bought last week. I was up all night with the feeling like something was in my eye. I took the makeup back and exchanged it for something that I KNOW I'm not allergic to, but when I put that on yesterday, I had another reaction and it's killing me this morning. I'm going to just leave the makeup off for the next couple of days (not like I'm going anywhere!) and see if I can get it to calm down. I just can't figure out why I reacted to something I've never had a problem with before???? Any ideas? I hate looking like dawn of the dead, but oh well... We did get the ice here in northwest Virginia, and all the schools are closed. We're supposed to get more sleet and freezing rain throughout the day, and I am SO ready for spring. , how's your weather down there?
