Guest guest
Hi all, Having trouble sleeping but wanted to post before I go to lay down. I called my mom this morning asking her if she could take me to a few flea markets near here to check on a few space heaters-mainly those ones who have a radiator filled with oil that you plug in. I wanted to see if they had any cause my propane tank is down to 5% which is scary. Weve had some 60 degree days where we could open windows but its still winter and will cool back down. Plus I really do not want to have to fill the propane again after i finish the bill from when we moved in....just way to expsive. She said yes of course and knew my bank acct was under 50 bucks so i was bargain hunting, We went to the indoor flea mkt this guy runs- he gets alot of new things from lowes they cant sell and doesnt mark up much. We fiound a small elec space heater thatd be good for in bathroom or maybe in kitchen just while we are cooking or whatever. She bought it for me and said it wouldnt heat a whole room but could even be good for our glassed in rm in spring when theres a bit of a chill. She took me out to eat as itd been about a month since we got together and then off to walmart. we found those oil filled radiator heaters dennis told me about and they were on sale from 75 to 35. I was going to try to buy one but she bought both for us which was awesome. She knew were on verge of no heat and havent gotten my check yet (regular disab or the big one) but I told her id pay her back and of course her reply was keep your moneyl....but i really appreciate her helping us while im waiting on my money and dennis waiting to hear from 3 jobs dennis applied for. They really work good and once i do get my big check im not only going to pay back the loan i have from her for helping us get this house but give her a lil extra for things like this. If she doesnt take the extra money ill shop for her for a few things i know shed like and need. We turned on the radiators and they dont much electricity but work so good....dont even need the rest of the propane what little is in there:) Now another really cool thing.....while i was at walmart i got a call from bruce...dennis' friend from va beach who loves o come and visit us as often as he can.I thought he was callin for dennis so told him i was out n he was home but he said yeah i know. he was calling cause he was coming down today(his wife had to wrk) but told me he and her had decided to find new homes for their 4 ferrets and wanted to know which 2 i would like. I got soooooooo happy and said ''lucy and diggles'' Lucy is a sweet funny one and diggles is a chubby laid back one like smokey was. They are both going to be traveling for work so its hard finding sitters, the other 2 are going to her coworkers kids and i think some of it is too that they know i love ferrets, love these 2 and was so sad to put smokey to sleep. so they came and get along so well with my 'bandit' and are already cuddling together in the hammock. ill try to get a pic tomorrow to show you. so besides the high pain in knee today was a good day and i think im going to try to get some sleeep....ill be on tomorrow but wantd to share some news with you all....I hope u all have a good wknd and are doing ok. im so thankful to my mom helping me get these great heaters and of course my new babies!!!!! have a good wknd everyone:) --
Guest guest
, You must be so happy to have your new babies! What a stroke of luck for you. Be careful how much you use the oil based heaters. Our electricity bill went sky high when I got one for my son and he was using it all the time. It really drains the electric. Ben's room is right over the garage, so he is very cold all winter. We need to insulate that room or something. Hope your knee feeling better today. My stomach has been aching since I got up and it's really pissing me off! I was going to take my middle son shopping for new clothes this afternoon, but I just don't feel up to it. This chronic pain is really just a pain in my ass! (Sorry for my French but some days I feel like screaming WHY WON'T THIS GO AWAY?????
