Much strength and many hugs- Sandie Des Moines, IA dad, Merle, passed from LBD 9-20-02, age 65 mum, Jo, (MIL), passed from LBD 4-29-07, age 78 -- " jan_stahmer " wrote: Hello to all, I read the information everyday. I have learned so much from this site. Mom cannot remember where she is moving, what we are taking or anything, for that matter, for longer than 3-4 minutes. I feel positive about the facility we have selected. I have been up since 4:45am, in order, to get her and myself ready. The mowers come @ 8am and my SIL is going to take Mom early, so she will not have to watch everything being removed from her house. She fell and skinned her shin. She's drying her hair, wish I could throw the hair rollers away but she's olde' school. I have learned that I DO not like my sister. She doesn't have an ounce of compassion and will grow old VERY alone. Just needed to 'vent' and know the caregivers on this site understand just what an ordeal this has been and will continue to be. I have one more week before I go back to VA. I intend to tell my Mother I love her everyday. She has been wonderful. I feel honored if someone tells me I am like my Mother. I know that God is walking with us. Thanks for listening, Rob ------------------------------------ Welcome to LBDcaregivers.
