Guest guest
Been a long day ... This is on a nuclear medicine/radioiodine-131 therapy report where the doc says .... " Pt was previously treated for hyperthyroidism with 8 mCi of radioiodine-131 on XXXX. She did obtain substantial symptomatic relief but her laboratory data suggests that she is still quite ___ *hyperthyroidism* ____ with a diminished TSH level " etc. How would you guys type this? Doc dictates EXACTLY as it appears above. I've been trying to re-word this in my head but can't think of the best way to type this. Just not thinking clearly tonight. Any suggestions?? Thank you, Shel

The way I always see it both in my transcription and with my own endocrinologist is " ...she is still quite hyperthyroid... " I am not sure this is a word you can find in a dictionary or word book, but it is very commonly used.
