Email me and let me know what happened. I lost my best friend today and I am grieving something terrible. My beloved cat Kosmo developed a urinary blockage while we were out this afternoon. I came home and he couldn't walk and was obviously in extreme distress. By the time I got him to the vet, he was in shock, his temp was down from a normal 101 degrees to 96 degrees, and his bladder was the size of a grapefruit. The vet anesthetized him and tried to catheterize him to remove the blockage, but he passed away during the procedure. He was just too sick to make it through it. I am heartbroken. I adopted him from a rescue league 7 years ago and he has been with me through some awful times. He was beside me throughout my 14 month illness last year, and never left my side when I was at home. I am going to miss him so much, it hasn't even sunk in yet. My 11 year old is taking it very hard. We brought Kosmo home and my husband buried him by the bird bath and bird feeders in the backyard. He was still warm when I handed him to and it was almost more than I could take. That cat did more for me than any human being could ever do, and I feel like I have lost a child. and I lit 7 candles, 1 for each year he was with us, and put them on the stone that my husband placed over the spot where he is buried, and one of them is still burning. I'd like to think it's the spirit of my baby telling me he's going to be okay. (((( Chelle
