Guest guest
Dad has had a couple of episodes where he gets angry or aggressive. This has been since he was admitted to the Psych ward 3 weeks ago. He was first given Zyprexa PRN to manage these episodes. That was not a good choice and he didn't react well to it. So, now, Abilify is given PRN to control these episodes where the staff feels they can't control him. But, the Abilify puts dad in a complete stupor. He is unable to even get up out of his chair or communicate in any way. I understand the need for sedation, but to what degree? This seems inhumane to me. Of course, they are transferring him today status quo. Any insights here.
