Guest guest
Our daughter had an MRI last year and we chose NOT to use Versed nor nitrous nor lactate ringers. The anesthesiologist complied and waited to put her under right before going into the machine. He said something about pure oxygen. She did excellent without any regressions. Don't let them talk you into getting your child " loopy " first - that's Versed and it's awful. Just go with your child if you have to and stay while they mask him. Usually if you tell them that your child is allergic to nitrous (depletes B12), Versed (loses memory and cognitive ability) and lactate ringers (doesn't have the enzymes to metabolize lactic acid build up) then they will have to do something else. I pray your son will be fine. Shari Anasthesia & regressions ? Hi All, My son is due for an MRI thi sThursday, but I'm terrified of Anasthesia. Any negative reactions I need to be aware of ?
