Guest guest
i'm not arguing that reality is an illusion per se, Steve, simply that we are extremely ill-equipped to apprehend it. that what we perceive of it may very well be called illusion, delusion or just plain 'iggerance'. firstly, as to the 'receptor' itself, we are directly - physically - aware of seven grades of light, can hear sounds ranging from more or less 20Hz to about 20kHz (decreasing with age), and our senses of smell, taste and touch are pretty limited too - often merely to 'pleasant', 'unpleasant' and 'of no interest at all'. this in an infinite universe! then there is the factor of interest: things that please, intrigue or excite us we tend to consider 'good', stuff that repels, disgusts or upsets us is 'bad', and the uninteresting stuff we generally don't even notice at all. then we have our projections, ends-in-view, misapprehensions, misreadings, what we take for granted, what we (assume we) 'know', total misunderstandings, etc., and their name, of course, is legion.we are even unaware of the fact that what we call 'space' and 'time' are actually the first two vectors of awareness. we never examine this awareness, or rarely examine it thoroughly enough to discover that what is aware is not a something or somebody at the centre of its spherical universe, but, in literal fact, a no-thing... a continuous becoming that never assumes form because it is already dissolving in the very act of coming into being... everything very undeniably IS, but - in the very same breath - is already well into being not (if you'll excuse the peculiar grammar?). this is what the Buddhists refer to as emptiness...we tend, uncritically, to assume, or to act as though we assume that phenomena, personal or general, are permanent, partless and independent. the more critically we examine them, though, the more they reveal themselves to be fleeting, infinitely compounded and utterly dependent on everything else throughout space and time. any apparent 'effect' is actually the 'result' of an infinity of 'causes and conditions' in the absence of even one of which it can never come into being. things are not things but processes, 'verbs' in 'alice speak', not nouns. we tend to live with and try to manipulate chess-piece nouns, get all our chickens in line, but as we know, much of life is like herding cats... it only works properly when we get out of the way... that's what i mean by 'everything you know is wrong' (what Firesign Theatre may have meant by it i no longer remember or particularly care)... in an infinite universe we are not even living in our own backyard... and when we do go there at all, we just tend to screw it up with our 'cleverness'. -- Those who are awake live in a constant state of amazement. ~Jack Kornfieldthe world of dewis just a world of dew...and yet...~IssaPlease consider the environment before printing this e-mail. Guest guest
Of course ! And I agree! We are all different, unique in the way we became, create ourselves and evolve. Who the heck cares what I think, or you think or whatever yogic, Buddhist, Christian or whatever ! What is most important is our own connection with that which is the higher in us. I say our own! The divine principle in all things wants to experience, and it is through us, as we in Him that experience. I once had a profound meditation that ended with a verse that flowed from above as a strong commanding voice that said, "Live in me , as I live in you". All Best to you Mike, Steve Kalec. Guest guest
Hi Mike , It was Rosemary. It was about the volatilization of such tartaric salts, which is sort of secret kept in the work revealed to initiates. It is very healing as a few grains dissolve all calcaric diseases such as arthritis, gout, and any stone in the body. Now I am working on the Enz Mellissa, through the way of the Acetate to make a fitting menstruum that will extract the herbs virtue fully. I am still at it. Its like a passion. It keeps calling me. You know ! Guest guest
Hi Mike, I haven't seen since years now. I saw him last in England when we worked on the Green Lion in absence of Manfred Junius as he had just passed away. Actually was conducting the seminar. He was to present with me at the International Alchemy Conference last September, but at the last moment he had to cancel. I was hoping to meet him there. We had good times with Manfred's courses in Europe, didn't we? my lattes Experiment. Cleaning of Oyster shells. Dissolution of shells in distilled wine vinegar. We can see calcium acetate crystals sublimation in the top portion of the container. This is what the Calcium Acetate looks like. I have a large bucket full of this which I will dry distil in spring to receive the philosophic wine of this work, which will further be distilled to receive the ardent water, which is the living acetone (incomparable to commercial acetone), and will use the ardent water as a menstrum on the plant. After which we just allow the menstruum to evaporate off leaving the oil behind for us. Thus we will have lifted out the Soul of the plant. All Best, Steve Re: Measurement Problem - Reality is an Illusion Sounds amazing.Do you talk to Cottenoir ever?-- Those who are awake live in a constant state of amazement. ~Jack Kornfieldthe world of dewis just a world of dew...and yet...~IssaPlease consider the environment before printing this e-mail.
