Is that true?

Yes

Can I absolutely know that this is true?

Can I absolutely know that I would be happier if I got what I want?

No

How do I react when I believe this thought?

I see this group as serving no useful purpose. I look over at the

Institute for the Work forum and see it as more useful, more relevant.

I see the number of messages coming into this group, and the number of

messages that are not related to the work that are not approved for

posting on the group.

I see the total number of members, versus the number that appear to be

active.

I feel like the group isn't serving it's purpose (whatever it's

purpose is….?) – to further `the work' in the world? (Funny, it's

serving that purpose right now – furthering the work in my world right

now :-) )

Does this thought bring peace or stress into your life?

Irritation, so yes stress.

Can I think of a single stress-free reason to keep this thought?

No.

Can I think of a reason to drop this thought?

Yes, I'd feel freer without this thought.

Who would I be without this thought?

More relaxed, less attached to the group – out of the group's business.

Without this thought, the group no longer seems so `out of shape' to me.

I can see how I believe this original thought in other situations –

about people, including myself that I see as `not right' / `out of

shape' – they should be deleted.

Turnarounds:

1: This group should not be deleted

This is truer, at least right now – I'm getting something out of it,

so that's enough in itself.

I don't know how much benefit others are getting simply from having

the group exist, even if they never even read the messages, or post.

Just having it in their mind may be helpful.

2: I / my thinking should be deleted

Yes, this is truer, my attitude towards the group – seeing it as

under-performing, not doing it's job, something that takes more effort

than it is worth.

Thank you,

Jon
