Guest guest
Pierre sent in a link to a Canadaian radio broadcast a while back which theorised that (amoung other things) immune deficiencies are genetic. In the twin study, they found that it was possible for each to manifest different diseases. Good news was that they thought you would only get one kind of immune disease, so theoretically we may not have to worry about arthritis! _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. Guest guest
Here it is again, for those who are interested. http://www.radio.cbc.ca/programs/quirks/archives/00-01/feb2401.htm Good links on the right of the page. To listen to the archived program, click on " Listen to MP3 " . By the way, IgAN is never mentioned, nor links provided, because it isn't really an auto-immune disease in the real sense of that term, even though it does somehow involve the immune system. However, both lupus and scleroderma are classic auto-immune diseases, and both can cause secondary IgAN.
