call the doc in the morning ask for some topical antibiotic cream for a

burn - most likely silvadene - keep a light dressing on it - to prevent it

from drying out or infection getting in. could use first aid cream for now

or neosporin or something like that. drink lots of fluids.

Hi

It sounds like you burned your skin by leaving the heating pad on all

night even though it was loosely wrapped. Dennis is right. Just air

them out. You don't need to put anything on them. Just keep the

area clean to cut down on the risk of infection though. Have you

tried a cool wet wash cloth on them? It might help with the internal

swelling and pain relief? Otherwise try an extra pain pill -

breakthrough one might do the trick. They always warn people not to

fall asleep with your heating pad on. I gues now we know why. I

don't think that this would constitute as an emergency. You may want

to just call your local ER room and see what they have to say and

what you might be able to try. Tell them that you're not coming in

though.
