I really NEED your help (pain, heating pad ?? please read help

Ok guys first off I did stupid thing and it is probably my fault. I slept

with my heating pad on low and wrapped it with ace bandage lightly so itd

stay on my knee while I slept. It helped the past few nights but today is so

different.

I overslept for once BUT when i woke up i was in AGONY...dennis rushed to my

side and helped me unwrap (the wrap hurts so i lightly do it and the heat

helps soothe) anyways when we pulled it off my knee was bright red (its not

that bright anymore....BUT on the sides of my knee I have a few

blisters....2/3 of which are OPEN and look raw inside it.

My mom said to try to call my dr to see what i could put on it but i guess

he doesnt hav after hours answering service. when i go in there for my appt

or tomorrow after i talk to him im going to ask him if he has an emergency

number i can call hin first if i need him and stress that itd only be used

for emergencies...hes usually pretty good.

I couldnt even have my jogger soft pants on it and when i did they stuck and

yes it hurt to pull off. so i have my pants up and my quilt lightly on me.

The blisters arent huge or many but the ones on side that are open scare

me. They are maybe the size of your tip of pinky finger.

do you have any ideas...should i just call him in morning and see what i

should do. dennis said i should let them air out. I wont be using my

heating pad today or tonight or maybe for a few days and will NEVER sleep

with it again .....my mom said instead of paying her back the 50 i owe her

that i should just go and pick up a microfiber blanket which keeps in heat

or those flannel new heating blankets they have i saw at walmart to sleep

with.

Is this something to worry about?????

I wont even take a shower today ( i know...yuck lol) but im scared to get

them wet and cause more pain)..

have any body have this happen before or what do u think i should do>>??? i

have a & d ointment but i dont know if i should put it on or just wait til i

talk to my dr in morning.

God it hurts so bad guys...im freaked out cause it hurts so much but im just

going to sit in my chair again today and not do very much, ill do some

emails but thats about it.

I sent you a private email with some advice which I hope will help. It's

basically just my own common sense. I think you need to call your doctor's

office and see if there's an emergency number on his answering machine. All

doctors I know have an emergency contact on call doctor when they're not

available and you should be able to get that from his answering machine or

service.
