Guest guest
Before my hysterectomy, they had me take " Golightly " which acts NOTHING like its name. You have to drink about a half gallon of it, but it cleans you out. It might be by prescription though. {{{{{{{{{{ Hugs }}}}}}}}} Copeland HEDS

Guest guest
Hi -- My mom had trouble with constipation, and doctor put her on Miralax daily. After a few days of that, I cut the dosage to half, because the full dosage was too much for her. A few months later, she began having severe tremors and seemed to be in pain and was delirious. Went to the ER, where she was diagnosed with anxiety attacks and was given lorazepam and seroquel. She continued the tremors, crying, and seemed to be in intense pain. It all seemed to occur around mealtime, but this didn't become clear until she had the episodes for a couple of weeks. (By the way, the lorazepam was a total problem -- causing her to get more agitated, combative, and mean. I took her off of that and dealt with the severe tremors etc. without the help of drugs.) Finally after two weeks of trying to find answers, we returned to the doctor. I told him I thought it was a stomach problem. He prescribed Metoclopramide 10 mg. to be taken 45 mins. prior to a meal. This drug " pushes things along " prior to putting more in the stomach. She has had zero problems with constipation, and absolutely no more severe tremors and pain. The metoclopramide can interact with other meds of course .... Effexor, Seroquel & others. Sometimes the benefits outweigh the risks. Good luck, Boo _________________________________________________________________ Make every e-mail and IM count. Guest guest
I take Reglan from time to time. I have had several instances of esophageal spasms (hurt like hell, feels like a heart attack), and Reglan is the one thing I can take that will help it almost immediately. I haven't had side effects from it, but then I don't have LBD, either. Jannis
Guest guest
Hi June C. The Reglan has not caused insomnia in my mom's case, but one of the warnings on the RX bottle is to contact the doc, if restlessness, anxiety, as well as other side effects, are noticed. I feel blessed that this med has worked for my mom, and I pray it will continue to keep her comfortable. By the way, my mom's name is June. Thank you, Lin, and everyone, for all of your helpful information. I am new to LBD, and I appreciate the wealth of information here.
