Thanks ,

I'm sorry you have this problem too. I had four leg surgeries for a broken

leg/ankle a few years back. The plate they put in my leg broke, but they left it

in anyway and boy did that hurt. They finally took it out and I had a non-union

fracture for 2 1/2 years and was in a cast or boot that whole time. .

I was fine for a couple of years and then the nerve pain started in my feet.

Both feet. I've done research on RSD and don't think that is the cause, but heck

until someone gives me a definative diagnosis, its all pretty much up in the

air. All they say is you have neuropathy, period. Guess its time for some more

testing...that is always FUN! NOT!

Thanks for the reply. I will be seeing my Neurologist soon for a possible

nerve biopsy. My Physical Therapist is the one who actually noticed the atrophy

after I kept complaining of leg cramps. DO you have these as well?

Caitlin,

Nerve Biopsy? Aren't they dangerous to have done? HAve you asked for

possible side effects of the surgery. Besides the obvious one:

Doctor get a vacation.
