Guest guest
Hi all, I have a quick question maybe you can help me with... I have a ''release'' i got from LTD giving them permission to contact ssd on my behalf and find out about my case. They also stated that THEY hired allsup to help with ssd ect. Now if i sign this release i know they will lower my benefit amount which is fine (ssd gives me say 700 and my ltd usually gives 1300 so what ltd would do is give me the remaining what ssd doesnt give so id still receive 1300) hope that made sense. I STILL havent gotten my back pay which is no surprise but when i sign this release and say my back pay comes a week later can THEY ''attach'' my check so say instead of them directly depositing my money like they will...can THEY get their money off the top and then give me whatever they think i am allowed ect. OR will ssd still directly deposit my money and then from there i send LTD what they request as payment for the ''overage.. Im just wondering if ill get my back pay in full minus what the lawyer gets or if they can take it somehow before i even see it. what i am planning to do is request that i can get a 3rd of that money, then send them the rest or whatever they request ..i may get more then a 3rd but im going to request a 3rd if they say they need more .........IF they give me a hard time i got feedback from someone to where i do this..... I send them/wire them 10 thousand dollars and tell them to with hold whatever theyd normally give me each month UNTIL their amount is repaid and then they can continue to pay my benefits later on... but my main ?? is.....signing this release can they take money off the top somehow. when i asked my mom she said thats MY money and i should be getting it first and then go from there. They said they ''estimate' my ssd payment would be 1100 which is waaaay above what im getting and theyd only pay 232 if they dont get the release within 30days from jan 4th. So i know the feb check will be adjusted but to what my actual payment is. hope this all made sense and i hope some of you can help me with this. thanks so much- its such a crappy day here today...a very lil amount of snow but then freezing rain/slush and now rain. thank god for this heating pad. please help with my situation and questions thanks i really appreciate it HUGGGGGGGGZ -- --
