As said, poor plumbing can be a cause. This is second hand, but friends in

AZ say that there are certain buildings that have poorly designed or maintained

hvac systems and these buildings are terrible with mold. Just needs moisture for

food. Sure there could be other man-made sources as well.

Closet mold in New Mexico? They tell all the patients here to move to NM or AZ

if you are mold sensitive. Crazy. D

was it the world health report study that was done in 5 countrys  that assessed

the US of course had the highest rate of household molds, averageing over 39%

of  Of US households have molds that could cuase ill health affects.    So AZ or

NM clear to Maine.  you will find mold.

That happened to me today, too. Because of the constant rain here, my

car REEKED of mold. Now I feel lousy.

I have heard that you should leave you car in the recirculate mode not

fresh when you turn off your car. It will help keep the dampness out while not

in use. Especially overnight.

That happened to me today, too. Because of the constant rain here, my

Does anyone on the list have a reliable remedy for car a/c cleaning? Have even

called some remediation companies and they don't treat cars unfortunately. Have

had similar issues with the rain and my car as well. We go through a whole

series of things to minimize this and still have issues. Never did prior and

there are no leaks in the car at all.

That happened to me today, too. Because of the constant rain here, my car

REEKED of mold. Now I feel lousy.

That is the same here. High humidity and heat in Ohio Valley, and resulting high

mold count outdoors, and result is I don't feel well, which means I need to

start thinking of moving since the Ohio River valley is one of the high mold

count areas of the country.

Use white vinegar and water for the inside and keep your AC and heating

controls in the re circulate mode (not fresh )when you turn your car off. This

is important because it will keep the dampness out when the car is not in

use! If your car has an incabin filter it can be changed. Some newer models

have them and can be replaced easily. I keep a cloth in the car to dust it

and vacuum frequently.
