Guest guest
Interestingly my internet security software, Trend Micro, put up a sign on site when I went there that says " This website has been identified as Dangerous " I've never seen that before. Never the less I looked it over and only saw one office in Norcross, GA. Is that the one you are referring to KC? > > I never have heard of this center. It's not to far away and if I get a chance in the near future I will ride down and check them out. They don't seem to have much info on there web site, or a list of physicians. Not even an address, just Norcross. That is a big area. > > KC >
Guest guest
Alpha Lipoic Acid. I think it's supposed to deactivate toxins in the body rather than pull them out, but I'm not sure but it is advised for toxic exposure. I tried it years ago but got a rash, but had trouble with CSM also at that time. I haven't tried it again but forget what it is supposed to do exactly. > > > What is ALA? Guest guest
If you are taking CSM with meds, doesn't it absorb them, too, and rob you of nutrients while it takes out whatever it is supposed to take out? I use Welchol and take it with food, not meds. > > > What is ALA? Guest guest
Barb, I have heard that Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA) can protect against, or reverse, the adverse health effects of mycotoxins. The Pubmed Abstract about ALA and mycotoxins: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15259433?ordinalpos=4 & itool=EntrezSys\ tem2.PEntrez.Pubmed.Pubmed_ResultsPanel.Pubmed_DefaultReportPanel.Pubmed\ _RVDocSum <http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15259433?ordinalpos=4 & itool=EntrezSy\ stem2.PEntrez.Pubmed.Pubmed_ResultsPanel.Pubmed_DefaultReportPanel.Pubme\ d_RVDocSum> Some more about this: http://tinyurl.com/ks5vqc <http://tinyurl.com/ks5vqc> And and as long as you take the ALA a few hours before or after taking the CSM then I would think that taking the ALA would be OK. - > > > > > > Jeri, What dose and brand of ALA did your husband take that helped him so much? >
Guest guest
I think if you take it far enough from foods/fats, you are okay. I thought Welchol had a similar but milder effect to CSM. Are the directions to take it with food? I'd like to try Welchol, but it was so hard to talk my doctor into the CSM, that it wore me out and I don't care to revisit the topic for awhile. > > If you are taking CSM with meds, doesn't it absorb them, too, and rob you of nutrients while it takes out whatever it is supposed to take out? > > I use Welchol and take it with food, not meds. > >
Guest guest
Thanks. I've never quit figured out how to use PubMed. Are links to a one paragraph 'abstract'?, or is there somewhere a longer article. I think SA is Sherry who has written alot about subject and wrote a respected book on detoxing. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_gw_0_9?url=search-alias%3Dstripbooks & field-key\ words=sherry+rogers & sprefix=Sherry+Ro > > Barb, > > I have heard that Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA) can protect against, or > reverse, the adverse health effects of mycotoxins. > > > The Pubmed Abstract about ALA and mycotoxins: > > http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15259433?ordinalpos=4 & itool=EntrezSys\ > tem2.PEntrez.Pubmed.Pubmed_ResultsPanel.Pubmed_DefaultReportPanel.Pubmed\ > _RVDocSum
Guest guest
Find the info on Welchol. It also reduces cholesterol (its purpose) and blood sugar. This can help with the A1C level. I tried the other and found I was choking with it. This is much more tolerable and you can take it when you are out at a restaurant or whatever. Much more " user-friendly. " Your doc is there to work for you. > > I think if you take it far enough from foods/fats, you are okay. I thought Welchol had a similar but milder effect to CSM. Guest guest
I believe Dr. Lieberman uses Alpha Lipoic. In fact, I am pretty sure that I was given it in IV form when I went through his detoxification program recently. Guest guest
Diane are there any other caveats about the ALA iv? I just heard from a friend whose husband has heart trouble and is thinking of doing it. Thanks, Sam ---I just thought I would add that it is not advised that you take ALA in IV or oral if you have any amalgam fillings in your teeth. This was told to me by my doctor in Boston. Guest guest
-I have been taking ALA IV's-it is a drip-takes about an hr and a half for 600mg-for almost a year. It removed the very last symptoms of mold exposure I had-chronic fatigue, food reactivity, lymph clogging. But it cannot cure the sicker-quicker, which is what I wanted. So I am sick again since feb from another exposure-feeling better now. It is a gene expression modifyer, among other things-it turns all your cells aerobic, and can rejjuvenate all organs. Read-the Alpha Lopeic Acid Breakthrough by Dr Berkson. He has never said you can't have it if you have amalgams. It is the best way to chealate heavy metals also. He perscribes it orally, along with many pharmasuitical grade vitamins, but says with the oral type-it is metabolized by the liver and is not available to heal organs and other good stuff. - - In , " barb1283 " <barb1283@...> wrote: > > Alpha Lipoic Acid. Guest guest
Barb, PubMed usually just list the abstracts of articles. But you can access the entire article on the link bellow. You have to pay a fee to access the entire article though. http://tinyurl.com/ks5vqc <http://tinyurl.com/ks5vqc> And yes, Dr. Sherry is the author of that article. > > Thanks. Guest guest
--- Sam: I was just given the information about he amalgams. I guess s doctor does not agree. What they told me was that the ALA leaches mercury from the amalgams and if you are not detoxing well the mercury will build up. It makes sense to me. The hardest thing about this condition is that you will not get two doctors to agree on anything. D In , Sam <yaddayadda53@...> wrote: > > Diane are there any other caveats about the ALA iv? Guest guest
My Dr says that ALA is the best chelatpr of Mercury and other heavy metals, therefor it would not build up. He has an IV room filled with happy being cured or already cured people to prove it. > > --- > Sam: I was just given the information about he amalgams. I guess s doctor does not agree. Guest guest
Thanks Diane, I seem to remember the same thing was said about not doing hydrogen peroxide iv's if you had amalgum fillings. It is hard to know when different credible docs have totally different pov on something. --- On Thu, 6/25/09, dianebolton52 <dianebolton@...> wrot --- Sam: I was just given the information about he amalgams. Guest guest
, I wasn't sure who this question was directed to... We currently purchase at Walgreen's the Natura's Bounty L-Carnitine 400 mg with Alpha Lipoic Acid 200 mg. I watch for the buy 1 get 1 free deals at Walgreens. However, I'm considering purchasing it through Nutrabulk when I place our next order for d-ribose. http://www.nutrabulk.com/index.php?_a=viewProd & productId=21 If you are wondering what d-ribose is, look at my review here: < http://www.amazon.com/NutraBulk-D-Ribose-Powder-ONE-KILOGRAM/dp/B0011G6HCM/ref=s\ r_1_1?ie=UTF8 & s=hpc & qid=1246244460 > I initially purchased it through Amazon (prime member = free shipping) but once I discovered the NB website I found it was cheaper to order directly from them. It's by far the best price I've evern found for d-ribose. Guest guest
With all due respect to drug stores, Dr Berkson and other Drs who cure people of ailments like sbs or lupus,or liver failure, only allow pharmaceutical grade vitamins they say the cheap brands have nothing in them.-Metabolic Maintenance ALA-300mg-3x a day-with meals. Make sure you get a lot of B's while taking ALA-Pharm grade of course. ..- > > > > > where do you get your ALA? is it expensive>? > > v. > > > > >
