The BIG elephant in ALL of these plans is the lack of intent to determine causation of chronic illness as we design evidence based treatments. They have had info for a loooooooong time of various toxins, when they enter the human body, being a major causitive agent of chronic illnesses. Why is no one looking at what causes the increase in chronic illness as a manner of solving the problem of increased costs caused by increased chronic illness? How can you solve a problem without first understanding what is causing it? Sharon
Guest guest
I know. It's bad enough to get sick, then to realize a system that is supposed to be set up to help you, is really set up to 'live off of your illness', which is exactly the way it is, and you pay alot in health insurance to have it. However as bad as it is, you need them because at least they can give you pain medicine and other symptom relief. > > From: snk1955@... <snk1955@...> > Subject: [] Mycotoxins and autoimmune diseases 1993 > > Date: Sunday, June 21, 2009, 8:00 AM > http://www.arthriti strust.org/ Articles/ Fungal-Mycotoxin %20Connection. pdf_ > > (http://www.arthriti strust.org/ Articles/ Fungal-Mycotoxin %20Connection. pdf) > > > > Am watching C-SPAN of Wednesday, the Republican's plan for healthcare > > reform. Guest guest
I wonder that all the time Sharon. I believe it's also the suppression of medicine that will cure. If we cure disease instead of treating its symptoms the medical industrial complex loses their sustainable competitive advantage. Until we deal with the issue of profits in medicine and the motivations of what drives this behavior we cannot have meaningful reform. Guest guest
No one Republicans or Democrats want to admit what causes chronic illness it would cost them too much money!!!!!! Not one of them cares about why we get sick they just don't want to pay or let anyone know why especially when it comes to a sick building. Guest guest
I think they want to help....until they get deep enough into the issue to realize that they, too, have a conflict in the game. This is such a great speech given in Eurpoe; _http://www.oslersweb.com/blog.htm?post=604271_ (http://www.oslersweb.com/blog.htm?post=604271) In a message dated 6/23/2009 7:04:50 P.M. Guest guest
I have not read the speech yet. I had to copy and paste cuz the site had double writing. If they really want Healthcare Reform they must address all the issues being neglected like indoor mold and the chemicals in our products. Sure it is going to cost money but they have dragged their feet so long that so many people are sick now. But it is so hard to talk to anyone in gov't. It was odd that one night I had my congressman's office call and leave an message about a townhouse meeting on the phone. They said they will call the next time but it said unavailable on the caller ID. Guess I will call the office to find out when the next meeting will be held. > > I think they want to help....until they get deep enough into the issue to >
