The classic foot type of Charcot-Marie-Tooth type 1A is pes cavovarus with associated digital contractures. In this article, we describe a painful pes planovalgus foot type in a 10-year-old child with progressive Charcot-Marie-Tooth type 1A polyneuropathy. The authors discuss possible etiologies and treatment options in this isolated case.
