Guest guest
Here in San Diego I'm not sure I fully grasp the concept of snow boots, but I had a pair of PW Minor boots I thought were comfortable, with a sole that strangely, had no tread on it at all. I took them to a cobbler and had waffle stomper soles added, about $20.00 per shoe. Much better traction, and as an added bonus, instead of queries, " Are those 'special' shoes? " I get compliments, " Cool boots. " O
Guest guest
Hi Liz, For our Wyoming winters, I wore my ladies Sorel's. They worked well for me. I also had my Uggs waterproofed. Really, you should move to So. California and forget about snow and these problems! lol Gretchen
Guest guest
Hi Liz, I wear fake LL Bean hunting boots with thermal inserts. The tread is aggressive enough handle snow, nothing but prayer seems to work on ice. Ed
Guest guest
I just bought my mom a pair of Ugg Snowpeak boots. They are pretty lightweight and REALLY CUTE!!! The bottom is made of leather, thick rubber heel, and quilted waterproof fabric on top with the fur inside. They also zip all the way down the back for easy on and off. My mom does not have CMT, but I tried them on and liked them alot! I bought them from www.walkingcompany.com They cost about $200, but hopefully, they will last a very long time! Check them out! Guest guest
I live in So. Cal. but go to the snow fairly often (and, contrary to popular belief it gets PRETTY cold here too!). Every year I buy a pair of boots I think will work for me and every year I end up hating them. Last year I bought a pair at Burlington Coat Factory, the brand name, ironically, is Weatherproof. I LOVE THESE BOOTS. I wear them every day in the winter. They are warm, snuggly, waterproof and have good solid support and traction. I did add an over-the-counter arch support which I forget is even there. I hope they never wear out. Holli

Guest guest
Hey Holli! That's great! I find it hard to get boots to fit over my AFOs. Do you wear AFOs? I'd go buy another pair of those boots right now! lol. JoAnn N. Newfoundland, Canada (originally from NJ) _
