Guest guest
I just started on it a couple of weeks ago Chelle and I notice a difference right away too.. I take 300mg a day, started right off with that.. Unfortunately the stuff knocks me out! Makes me sleep like a log, which is awesome at night, but I wake feeling like I got stoned and then I take the am dose and have to take a nap... Does this go away?? Then the Last week I was sick and didn't take any of my meds cus it all upset my tummy..So I go back on my meds and the next day I had a horrible attack of IBS, lasted 2 days!!! I am not afraid to take ANY of my meds because in my mind it has to be the meds..I know it's not rational, but I do have issues, what can I say..lol.. Karla -------Original Message------- After two nights of lyrica at 50mg, I woke up this morning with only myneck hurting. Even my stomach doesn't hurt! I don't know if it's just knowing that I'm taking it or if it's actually working that fast. I'm at the lowest dose you can take, but will increase gradually up to 200 mg and see if there are any side effects. If this keeps up, I might actually become a normal person again!!!! (Don't get my hopes up, right????) Chelle
Guest guest
Karla, So far, I don't have the sleepiness and hangover feelings with the lyrica, but I am only on 50 mg right now. It will increase to 100 mg on Saturday, then 150 the next Saturday, and 200 the next. Then I go back to the rhematologist to see how I'm doing. I haven't heard anything back on my bloodwork or my neck x-rays yet, but it's only been a few days. Hopefully they won't find anything and the lyrica will continue working. The last two days, I was actually able to just get up when the alarm went off, and it's been at least 14 months since I've been able to do that. I feel a LOT better already. I hope this continues, because it's almost like having a life again. Can you cut back on your lyrica dose? I'd check on that with the doctor if I were you - you might have the same effectiveness on a lower dose and not the sleepiness side effect. Just a thought.
