Guest guest
Is there a connection between thyroid issues and mold exposure? Heard from a friend that their doctor commented that in her experience graves disease in some patients of hers were spurred on by some kind of mold exposure. Wonder if it can also affect the adrenals and other metabolic glands like the parathyroids or pituitary? I've looked around for literature on this, but nothing conclusive as of yet. Any thoughts or sites to check out? Vicki, have you experienced any recovery since the leaving the water damage? Do you know if there are any endocrinologists that have been known to treat patients with mold exposure issues? Guest guest
Yeh, I gained that same 40lbs. Have not been able to reverse it, yet. I've heard that when you start losing the weight, you must be on something that will flush toxins out, also. (CSM, activated charcoal, or bentonite) This is based on the theory that the body protects itself by isolating the toxins with fat (or cholestrol) - Dr. A. V. Constitini. Be warned that I consider some info there wrong (under 4% - 1 out of 25 sentences), and there is missing info. A key piece of missing info is: If your body is deficient in iodine, huge amounts of supplement T3 or T4 are needed, YMMV. Iodine can be added via kelp tablets, or salt replacement shaker onto to your food (the best firm closed it's doors), or swap some on your skin every night. I treat my fingernail cracks, lumps, dry skin, with iodine, and under the fingernail for fungus, particularly facial acne fungus that grows under the nail edge. Patches of dry skin can be treated with iodine as well, though peroxide is faster. Do not leave the peroxide on. It takes months in some cases. Elbow fungus can also be treated. If you get tested for TSH etc, a test for iodine is key. Must be done, yet few doctors do it. If you have been on a table salt free diet that will cause iodine deficiency. Guest guest
--- Maybe I am one of the lucky ones, but with detox and sauna I did lose the weight (about 25 lbs) and kept it off after detox. Do you all have some form of exercise in your daily routine? The clogged lymphatic system can also keep you heavy and you need to move those toxins out. I never did CSM or charoal, etc, only sauna and I got the weight off.
