Guest guest
Good point. I make mistakes all the time. The important thing, I think, is to take responsibility for those mistakes, put them right so far as one can, then move on. My definition of hell would be believing the lies we tell to ourselves. Guest guest
PS And apologise. Why do I always forget that one :-) H > > > > Good point. I make mistakes all the time. Guest guest
from " Question Your Thinking " : Does the wind blow? Did you experience rain today? That's it: What is is. We make mistakes, we don't; the wind blows, it doesn't; it is what it is. Your story about it - that's where the heaven or the hell is. But one thing you can count on is that people will make what you consider mistakes. You can fire them, you can yell at them, you can divorce them, and the person in front of you is going to make a mistake, count on it. *****Yes. Spot on. So all you can really do is sit and investigate that concept. *****A lie (or, to be more gentle, a misstatement). And if it isn't seen through, then much misery may follow. And I'm not saying NOT to sit and investigate. If that is what happens, then that is what happens. Cool. But what if it doesn't? Or what if one DOES sit and do the Work, over and over and over, and gets little or nothing out of it (other than frustration).......you must be a screw up, a loser, an incompetent, yes? I mean, you sat and investigated, and only got more and more upset. Doesn't sound like you're very good at doing The Work. Is there a " remedial class " for those who are not skilled at doing The Work? Maybe we can " fix " those inadequately-prepared individuals so that they are always successful at doing The Work. :-))) Since " you can...sit and investigate " and if THAT is not done (because of one hundred and one other things, responsibilities, commitments), then, woe to you: you've failed again. I guess you didn't have enough will-power or sufficient amounts of suffering to propel you to do The Work. Again, it's " you " that is " at fault. " Utter rubbish. Until it is Seen just who is doing The Work, nothing will make much sense (unless there is delusion operating...and that is a pretty common state-of-affairs in humanity: selective perception, selective memory contribute highly to it). The Work.......works.............but...............only........ when it is supposed to. And The Work will be done.....when one is supposed to. And not a moment before.
