Final Enrollment of Participants for

Ascorbic Acid Clinical Trial

Ten additional participants are needed to complete the enrollment for the

High-dose Ascorbic Acid Clinical Trial now underway at three locations: Wayne

State University (Detroit, MI), s Hopkins University (Baltimore, MD), and

the University of Rochester (Rochester, NY).

Ascorbic acid is also known as vitamin C and has been successfully used to treat

a laboratory model of CMT1A. The purpose of this study is to evaluate whether

high doses of ascorbic acid have any effect on Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease type

1A (CMT1A) in humans.

Enrollment for the study will end on March 31, 2009.
