Subject: [] Living in New Mexico

I know 4 people who live in ABQ.  Three of these people are medical

professionals.  Two docs and one N.P.  All have cancer that is not improving and

two have also been bitten by weird ticks that seem like mutations... ..carrying

an esp. virulent form of Lyme's Disease.  Their dogs have it too, and one has

been put down already.  The other two will have to be soon, it seems.  One of

these people tests the air and finds high levels of radiation and arsenic almost

daily.

Other places in NM might be fine.  Josie

-Very strange, I know there is industry in ABQ, which might account for the

polution. I am 3 hrs south and my vet says there is no reason to vaccinate for

lyme because there is none here. My dogs use no collars or spots because they

have never had a tick or flea since we moved here.. I like the fact that they

and myself are never exposed to pesticides, as this is the desert and there is

no agriculture. My Dr moved here from the east because he considers it a very

healthy place to live.. I have visited Trinity site, and there are geiger

counters everywhere that pick up nothing. When they moved the earth they must

have taken it to ABQ (LOL)

This is the Lyme Disease Association Analysis 2007 CDC reported cases. You

can see each state from 1993, 200, 2006, 2007 and how each state is ranked

along with % of increase.

NM had 2 in 1993 and 5 in 2007 which is a 67% increase from 2006 to 2007.

However, it is very low in reported cases compared to others. Very

interesting information, looks like Colorado, Hawaii, SD and OK are ranked the

lowest.

I spent time in Sante Fe, NM and I had something on by Revlon called Honeylotion

and I had to dash into a building to get away from flying insects swirling

around me. It took awhile before I decided it probably was the ingredients in

the lotion but there are insects, aren't there? I was only there one day and

got the feeling it was full of insects from the one incident. Is Sante Fe

different area or was my experience probably you think due to wearing honey!

Not a good idea to wear honey on your skin and go outdoors!!!

The list is amazing and just think those are reported cases! Think how

many people probably have Lyme Disease (just like mold exposure) and are

never diagnosed! I was really surprised at some of the states.

My husband is doing pretty well but gets fatigued easily. Frustrating for

him since he has always been active. Thanks for asking about him, I

appreciate it.

Can anyone make any sense of these figures? Alaska had 1000% increase. Do you

think amount of wilderness or communities in contact with wild life, or in some

areas, dwindling wilderness areas that are causing more contact with wildlife.

It is caused by deer tick, correct?

Maybe it's because they are finally diagnosing Lyme correctly? Yes,

it's caused by the deer tick. I'm beginning to wonder if it really is

Lyme.

Even if you don't actually have deer in your yard mice & rabbits carry the

deer tick to your yard. They is not getting away from them. Look how many

cases there are in DC!!
