Guest guest
Carl: The three points you have listed are helpfu and point the way to a healtier indoor environment. Most of the people of today do not remember the " Olden " time of my youth. We did not have air conditioned homes, building or schools. If it was hot outside, we just opened the windows and prayed for a breeze. Our buildings and homes were not air tight and did not collect moisture as buidlings do today. Also, I remember as a youth in Long Beach, California of having bright full sunny days all year around, except when rained. Very seldom were me and my classmates absent from school with symptoms that resemble a flu-like illness. Things have changed. Carl, let us not forget the bacteria that are present. I am involved in a home situation in Hawaii. We have found this home to be heavily contaminated with molds, Actinobacteria (microbacterium hominis. a potential human pathogen. numerous bacilli app. and streptococcus spp.-not aureus) and endotoxins. The ERMI score is 4, but the ERMI test does not identify the bacteria. Nor does the ERMI test identify the synergism that maybe occurring among all of the biocontaminants. I have posted on this subject before and wish to remind the group. Jack D. Thrasher, Ph.D. Toxicologist/Immunotoxicologist/Fetaltoxicologist www.drthrasher.org toxicologist1@...
