Guest guest
Hi - My mom and I had lunch yesterday and had this exact conversation about the pain and fatigue I am experiencing and whether it was the CMT causing it or my thyroid (I am also hypothyroid). I have some days where I drive my 4 year old to preschool and then come home and crawl back in bed for more sleep. I am 39 and most of the time, I feel like I am 80. Yuck! I don't have any words of wisdom or advice for you, but please know, that I feel your pain. I can't imagine having the responsibility of going back to work on top of it...that is probably making things even more difficult for you. I just had some tests run by a local PhD, Cliff Sheets. I don't know if you have heard of him, but he wrote a book called " Lean Bodies " . Anyway...my doctor wanted me to have this body chem profile done, so I did because I was so tired and really desperate for help. I received a call from them yesterday and she said, " Well, we received your results and there's a reason you are feeling so fatigued " . Anyway...I have a phone consultation with him this Friday, so I will let you know how that goes and if he has any suggestions on where to go from here. I am a major skeptic, but if his supplements help me, I am willing to try them. I think he has a website and he works with people all over the country, so you don't have to be in the DFW area. I am in the DFW area, but too tired to drive to Dallas...isn't that pathetic! Take care! I really hope your pain and fatigue subside. Guest guest
Amy, I read your post and found it very interesting. Like you I am in the position of feeling extremely fatigued but unlike you (I think)it comes and goes - but the feel good periods are getting fewer and far between and every time more depressing. I don't get pain just " run out of steam " very quickly. I'd love to hear more about the body chem profile (never heard of it before) and especially your Dr's recommendations. Please let us know soon! Regards Fiona Glasgow, Scotland
