Guest guest
Hi again, I hope everyone is having a good weekend. After having a CT and an MRI I have found out that I have a brain! lol The MRI and CT showed " normal " . So when I was at the dr....I said to him......could all this pain...headache,earache, light sensitivity, facial pain be related to TMJ? (jaw joint). Hesaid, welllllllll, it could be. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...I just love diagnosing myself. Anyway....I also had a dentist appointment yesterday to have a cracked tooth repaired. My dentist told me yes....it definitely sounds like TMJ. So luckily I had taken my old nightguard with me....(and to the dentists surprise) I can still wear it with only a slight adjustment. I am to wear that each night for at least a week, put ice on it, eat soft foods, don't open my mouth wide, and he showed me some exercises. Hopefully I can get this pain to calm down. I was really surprised when the dentist told me that TMJ trouble can even cause your neck and shoulders to hurt. I also am to take Zanaflex (4mg.) once in the morning and once at bedtime. Let's hope this helps. And hope I can keep my big mouth shut! lol Thanks for reading. Hugs, Sherry
Guest guest
Hi Sherry, Just thought I'd let you know that I suffer from chronic TMJ problems. I have also had a couple bouts of transgeminal neuralgia, which causes awful pain across one whole side of your face and head. I've also had my brain xrayed several times - all it shows are lesions that go along with a long history of migraines.
