Guest guest
Hi Everyone! I see alot of talk on Lyrica here so thought I'd share my experience with it.I live in excruciating pain 24/7 from complications of brain surgery years ago.My neurologist started me on Lyrica to help reduce my pain.I've been on it almost a year now and it has worked wonders. The working dose is 300 mg/day but I can only tolerate half that.If you are susceptible to lymphedema,as I am, it plays havoc with that.so I take a lower dose.It does stop the sharp pains that used to happen when I bent over to pick something up.Now,I can tell you,I KNOW NOT to bend over, but sometimes it's a knee jerk reaction, and the pain would smack me right between the eyes. Now,it doesn't do that anymore. That's a huge gift from the Lyrica. It can make you sleepy on the higher dosage but doesn't slow me down any.I just received samples of Cymbalta to try for more pain relief, this in addition to all the other meds I'm on. I see here that people get headaches from Cymbalta? Is that true? or have I read that wrong? Thanks for having this group I love it!
